Champion for the first time with an Alioth!
An incredible weekend in a highly competitive regatta, sailing for three days across the full range of conditions for Rig A. Thank you all for your support in this challenge!
As for the boat, the hull is a modification I started working on at the beginning of last summer. It showed promising results at the Spanish Cup in June and has now been confirmed during the recent Spanish Championship as a step forward in performance.
The hull has been adjusted to improve performance in medium to strong wind conditions, making it narrower, featuring a chine that now fades out towards the stern, and slightly repositioning the keel box.
A lot of design work went into keeping the smooth lines and signature Alioth style while creating a narrower boat. The result, in my opinion, is an even more beautiful design than the previous versions. Additionally, the appendages and rigs from previous versions are fully compatible with this new design.
