Please, see attached a render. Install eyebolts for a perfect guide just next to the drum.

Juan, I've an issue with the Fairlead in that it's a load and friction point do feel over time this will let go--- have you considered some form of tube fixed to the fairlead that feed directly inline with the winch.

Also my rudder trunking gcode is only a tab not a tube that you can support the rudder with. not sure what the issue is.

Thanks

Glen

The following sheet guide diagram is from Alioth 2020, but it is the same for the 2022 version.

Hi glen, you need a rudder trunk from somewhere like sails etc. The top point is just to steady the free part of the rudder shaft.

The fairlead issue is less of an issue wrt to friction and wear as it's on the return side of the winch line and shouldn't wear at all.

I'm looking at a PTFE lined turning block which could ease the potential issue you are talking about. It might be a few weeks away at the moment.

Hope that helps

warm regards Paul

Hi Glen, you can print the "fairleadsupport" Will Newton has designed and has shared the stl file on the FB group. As Paul said, this fairlead goes on the return side of the line and shouldn't wear out.

Please, install the eyebolts on the sailwinch tray for a perfect guide of the line just next to the drum.
